Mont-Saint-Grégoire, July 16, 2026 – Following the official closure of the Desjardins ATM in Mont-Saint-Grégoire on July 5, the local company Lumii Solutions, in collaboration with the municipality, would like to highlight the positive impact of its community initiative, which has made it possible to maintain access to this local service for nearly two additional years.
Originally threatened with closure in the fall of 2024, the ATM was able to continue serving residents, families, business owners, and seniors in the region thanks to Lumii Solutions’ decision to host the Desjardins ATM on its premises free of charge. This gesture of community solidarity convinced Desjardins to renew the lease and postpone the closure date.
“Our primary goal has always been the well-being of our community. Although the permanent closure is now in effect in accordance with the Caisse populaire’s guidelines, we are extremely proud to have joined forces with the municipality of Mont-Saint-Grégoire to extend this essential service for as long as possible.” Pierre Lapointe, CEO of Lumii Solutions
Thanks to this partnership, residents were able to conduct their day-to-day banking transactions locally, thereby avoiding numerous trips to neighboring municipalities during this extended period. This initiative reflects the vision of Lumii Solutions and its partners, for whom maintaining economic vitality and quality of life in municipalities of all sizes remains a top priority.
“The municipality wishes to express its gratitude to Lumii Solutions for their generosity and their commitment to our community. Thanks to their free logistical support, our residents benefited from a crucial reprieve for this local service. It’s a model of community collaboration that we can all be proud of.”— Suzanne Boulais, Mayor of Mont-Saint-Grégoire
