Lumii Solutions, in collaboration with the Municipality of Venise-en-Québec, officially launched LumiiConnexion, a next-generation community Wi-Fi network that marks an important milestone in the municipality’s digital development.
Bringing together municipal officials, regional partners, business leaders, and community members, the event showcased the first components of this digital infrastructure, which will serve as the foundation for future smart community initiatives.
Infrastructure Designed to Serve the Community
Deployed in the Lake Champlain tourism sector, LumiiConnexion provides public Wi-Fi access while creating a technology platform capable of supporting the future integration of urban sensors, traffic analysis systems, and smart municipal equipment.
“LumiiConnexion is much more than a Wi-Fi network. It is a digital infrastructure that will enable the municipality to better understand its territory, improve decision-making, and develop services tailored to the needs of the community” said Pierre Lapointe, General Manager of Lumii Solutions.

The Municipality of Venise-en-Québec sees this project as a concrete opportunity to better address local challenges, particularly those related to traffic management, tourism, and municipal planning.

Thanks to LumiiConnexion, residents and visitors now benefit from free Wi-Fi access in covered areas. The network will also help support local businesses, events, and tourism activities that contribute to the reputation of Venise-en-Québec.

For Lumii Solutions, this achievement confirms the potential of Venise-en-Québec as a real-world testing environment for the development of digital solutions designed for municipalities.
